Vintage LENWILE ARDALT White Bone China Blue Jays Figurine Made in Japan

Description

This is an exceptionally nice white bone china figurine of three Blue Jays amid blossoms on a tree stump.  Identified as Blue Jays by their prominent head crest.  One bird has fully spread wings while the other two are perched.  There are three large blossoms with leaves.  Very nicely detailed throughout. This figurine measures 6" high x 4.75" at its widest spot. This was one of two pieces I purchased without seeing the bottom of them - being told they were Florence Ceramics.  Both pieces lack any Florence Ceramic mark or styling and had Florence handprinted in black which turned out to be a marker which I was able to remove.   The second piece, however, - similarly marked - had two stickers. One identified it as Lenwile Ardalt and the second was an item no.  I believe both of these pieces were made by Lenwile but I am not an expert.  Capodimonte did a lot of similar bird figurines.  Whatever the case - this beauty is in excellent condition with no chips, crack or crazing.
