This replacement John Deere Top Shaft Clutch Kit for the Transmission Drive Shaft assembly Section can be found in the following models

340D 440 440A 440B 440C 440D.
This part is sometimes referred to as a "Synchronizer Clutch Set".  One set is normally required for each range.  For example :  If your machine has a Reverse, Low and High Range you will have 3 of these in the transmission. Each Clutch Set contains three friction clutches and two steel clutches.
This Friction plates are made with Alto Products O.E.M. Replacement Grade Friction material bonded to a High Carbon Steel plate.  The Steel plates are made from High Carbon steel
