The 1970s hand carved statue has crackage (bottom), small nicks, marks, glue wear & discoloration, dust, etc.. The Japanese YAKISUGI frog statue has a slight wobble.     For sale is a Japanese hand carved cryptomeria (Japanese cedar wood) statue of frog
    in good displayable condition.
    The 1970s hand carved statue has crackage (bottom), small nicks, marks, glue wear & discoloration, dust, etc..
    The Japanese YAKISUGI frog statue has a slight wobble.  A thin cushion or mat will most likely stop the wobble.
    The hand carved YAKISUGI statue is about 21cm (8 1/4") long, 9.5cm (3 3/4") high,

    YAKISUGI (Japanese cedar wood) or cryptomeria comes from YAKUSHIMA which is a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
    YAKUSHIMA YAKUSUGI is world renown for its dark grain lines.
    The eyes appear to be inlaid.  The material of the eyes is unknown.
