U Minh Forest, Free Fire Zone, VC Controlled, US Special Forces, ARVN, Shoot to Kill. Anything moving within this area was considered enemy. Vinh Hoa was located effectively inside U Minh Forest and was heavily fortified. Numerous Allied Units went missing in the U Minh Forest in the Vietnam War and previously French Units disappeared during the French Indochina War.
