Gateway Classic Cars of Indianapolis is proud to feature this 1929 Ford Model A Hot Rod! A monstrous build of a Model A with so much time and money that's been put into it, you'd consider it a steal at this price. To think of the amount of work one would put in to get something to look this cool, we couldn't begin to fathom. But we'll take you through a little bit of what brough it to this unique level and how it's set up. But that is just a drop of water in this Model A's bucket!
First, we'll hit you with the meat and potatoes that everyone asks first! This bad-to-the-bone Model A is equipped with a 409 Chevy motor packing 472 HP that was professionally built by 409 Chevy Performance, the man, Jack Gibbs, himself. Fitted with Edelbrock aluminum heads, dual quad, manifold, Ross pistons, and a machined block. All that mated to a Powerglide Automatic Transmission that has been professionally rebuilt!
Now for some of the build! It took 9 grueling months of professional labor to complete this car. Hundreds of hours of sanding, grinding, buffing, and polishing the 85-year-old body and spraying it and the frame with a clear coat to protect and showcase this amazing stainless-steel body that makes this thing look like pure machine! Having done a 4" chop (Professionally done and seamless!) to bare metal car, giving it a street rod look that gives off the appearance Rat Fink should be behind the wheel. Fabricated Custom stainless-steel headers, custom fabricated aluminum scoop, and guage panel. Customized Louvered rear panel below window and a radius wheel well in the rear. Body was channeled 4" over the frame and built over the rear axel. Custom built watertight frame. The water system circulates through the block and frame in a counterclockwise fashion with additional water pump. Radiator is in the back of the car and has electric fans. Fabricated new roof panels, trans tunnel, floors, shifter, pedals, and firewall. An all-new steering wheel and column. Shortened Ford 9" rear end with new axels and gears.
The wheels are by Wheel Vintiques (steel in rear and wires in the front), sitting in Coker tires in the front and Radir tires on the rear. New front disc brakes with drums in the rear. New gauges such as oil, volt and rpm. Roll bar with 5-point harness. New glass, hoses and braided lines.
Options on this 1929 Ford Model A Hot Rod include - Seat Belts, White Wall Tires, Leather interior, Battery Kill Switch and more!
